Mother's Day Weekend...

Mommy and Scotlyn spent our first Mother's Day in Lawrence Kansas with Great Grandma Dorothy. We had a fun visit and Scotlyn got alot of attention and kisses. We also went to Kansas City to see Natalie and her daughter Grace. Grace is going to be a big sister soon, she helped feed Scotlyn and practiced holding her. We also stopped in Topeka to see Melaine and her new puppy Dulcey. Scotlyn got a big surprise when Dulcey climbed right up in her car seat, you should have seen her face, this was her first up close look at a puppy, a bit traumatic! Happy Mother's Day to all you mom's out there...

2 months old

We are really starting to see Scotlyn's personality. She is giggly and smiles alot, although when she want's something she want's it 5 minutes ago! She had her 2 month check-up last week and she was 13 pounds and 23 inches long. She still has all her hair and it's getting thicker, in the light it has a red cast to it. She loves to go on walks and falls asleep as soon as we get going. She actually slept 10 hours in a row Saturday night and we almost thought something was wrong with her:) She is starting to like her toys and likes to be talked to. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks...

The Monke's visited this weekend and we had so much fun playing!

Scotlyn loves bathtime and cries when you take her out of the tub!

6 weeks old...

I have been very busy the last 2 weeks. I'm growing and changing everyday, I smile alot now and now that we switched to soy formula my tummy is much happier! I love to be held, mommy and daddy tried to make me sit in my bouncer last night and see how long it took for me to stop crying...I cried non-stop for an hour, they gave in and as soon as mommy picked me up I stopped. They say I'm stubborn, but I have no idea what they are talking about! I finally figured out that my thumb is good for sucking. My friend Coy visited a few weeks ago and we had fun playing. I'm starting to sleep 5 hours in a row at night. I'm getting used to this whole eat, sleep, poop thing, it's not half bad. Now if only they would pick me up every time I cried I'd have it made (I've got daddy trained, but mommy is harder to break!!!).

1 Month Photo Shoot for Nana!!!

The Erwin frown shows itself once again!
This was our first attempt at getting her used to her playmat. She liked it for about 10 minutes, then the pouting started!

Mom, you should recognize this outfit. This is the outfit I came home from the hospital in,1977. We tried to put the bonnet on, but it was too big and flopped in her face.

She is so cute when she's sleeping, hard to believe she was screaming bloody murder prior to this picture!

Scotlyn is growing like a weed. We decided she needed a photo shoot to show off her "big girl" clothes.

Easter

It's hard to believe Scotlyn is almost 1 month old. She is growing so fast and starting to look around more and even smile. We are still working on sleeping at night!

2 weeks old and settling in...

She is so darn cute we can hardly stand it!

Our first bath was a bit traumatizing. She is learning to enjoy them much more now and loves having her hair washed.

We are starting to get the hang of this whole sleeping thing, if only it would be at night!

Nana was here last week and we loved having her here. It was hard for her to leave, but we will see her soon!
